Best Spiritual Things to Do in Estes Park

Hello, Beautiful Souls!

If there is one thing I know for sure after living, working, and lighting my daily prayer candles here in downtown Estes Park, it is that this mountain town is deeply and powerfully sacred. People travel from all over the globe to visit Estes Park, landing in my reading room and loving the energy. But they often tell me they felt the energetic shift the moment they started driving into the Rocky Mountains.

We are surrounded by majestic mountains, ancient forests, and wide open skies that you can almost touch and naturally quiet the mind while opening your heart. As your resident "second mom" and spiritual guidance counselor, I often get asked what travelers can do to lean into this magical energy while they're in Estes Park.

Whether you’re looking to ground your energy, connect with your inner wisdom, reassess and heal or simply breathe a little deeper, here are some of the Best Spiritual Things to Do in Estes Park:

The mountains often begin the healing before you say a word.

1. Sit Down for an Intuitive Tarot Reading With My Tarot Mom

I might be a little biased, but starting or ending your mountain getaway with a tarot reading is one of the best ways to tune into your guides. Whether you visit my cozy reading room right here in town or we connect on Zoom, taking an hour to clear your mental clutter, gain fresh clarity, and check in on your highest path is wonderful for your soul.

2. Immerse Yourself in the Healing Energy of Dao House

Nestled right in the Rocky Mountains, Dao House is known as a true nature-based spiritual sanctuary. Indigenous people historically called this land the "Valley of Peace," and you can feel it the second you step onto the property. It’s an incredible place to disconnect from daily stress, take a slow mindful walk, and realign with your true nature.

3. Take a Mindful Drive or Hike into Rocky Mountain National Park

Mother Nature is the ultimate spiritual teacher. Head up into the park under the watchful, heavenly energy of iconic Longs Peak – and simply pause. Walk among the pines, listen to an alpine stream, and let the mountains remind you of how expansive you truly are. As infinite souls living a human experience, there is nothing quite like high altitude fresh air to shift your vibration.

A mindful walk can become a moving meditation.

4. Visit the Sacred Grounds of St. Malo

Located just south of town, St. Malo is home to the famous Chapel on the Rock and stunning outdoor Prayer Stations of the Cross trails. Surrounded by dramatic rock formations, it is a profoundly peaceful, historic (Pope John Paul II walked these grounds), and a reflective place to sit in peaceful prayer or meditation.

5. Create Your Own Ritual or Candle Lighting

You don't need a grand destination to connect with soul. You can create sacred space right where you are staying. Light a candle in a safe place before bed, set a clear intention for your happiness and healing, and talk out loud to your angels and guides. (If you ever need a little extra prayer energy sent your way while you're visiting, you know my candle altar is always lit!)

6. Practice a Digital Detox in the Mountains

One of the most spiritual things you can do in Estes Park is simply put your phone on airplane mode for a few hours or more. Let the crisp mountain air and the whispering aspen pull you out of the digital noise and back into your body. Give yourself permission to just BE, rather than do.

Estes Park is more than just a vacation destination; it’s a portal for healing, renewal, and deep spiritual connection. Whenever you find yourself in our beautiful mountain town, remember to slow down, look up at the peaks, and let the universe wrap you in love.
